Dr. Beatriz de Ancos Morales

Dr. Beatriz de Ancos Morales obtained a degree in Hispanic Studies (1988) and PhD in Philology, Spanish Literature (1996), with the dissertation: "Pío Baroja, literatura y periodismo en su obra", from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She was presented with the Extraordinary Doctoral Award (1997).

She currently works as a Language and Literature professor at the Faculty of Psychology, Education and Educational Sciences at the Universidad Católica de Valencia.

She has also worked as an associate professor of Spanish Language and Literature in several secondary schools in Madrid (from 1990 to 1995), Barcelona (from 1995 to 2005) and Toledo (from 2005). Since 2005 she worked as professor of Contemporary Literature at the Universidad San Pablo CEU, Faculty of Humanities and Communication Sciences.

She has been the professor of Spanish Language and Literature for foreigners at the "Summer Studies Program” of the Universidad Católica de Ávila (July 1999, 2000, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

She has worked as a Spanish Language assistant in the Department of Romance Studies, at the Faculty of Arts at the Universitá La Sapienza in Rome (2002-2003) and as Assistant professor of Spanish Language at the Universitá di Rome TRE, Faculty of Information Sciences (2003-2004).

She has lectured at the Second Congress on St. Teresa of Avila in Freising (2014), at the Course on "Literature and the mystical" in Bucharest (September 2003) as well as in the Spanish University Foundation on the Course “Philosophical Anthropology (2014)” and in several Catholic university Meetings held in Avila and Salamanca.
