Dr. Marie Isabelle Alvira Domínguez

Dr. Marie Isabelle Alvira Domínguez was born on August 24, 1953; she has been living in Paris since 1972. She spent her first years in Madrid where she graduated in History (Modern and Contemporary studies) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Furthermore, she graduated in Philosophy from the Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) and from l'Institut de Philosophie Comparee (IPC) in Paris. She has given numerous classes and lectures on philosophical issues in France and Switzerland (CIFC in Geneva) as well as in the Senior Program of the Universidad de Navarra (Spain).

She is also a board member of Evangile et Société (Paris), an association where she used to teach. She has participated and held lectures at several international conferences in Rome (UNIV).

She was director of several university institutions from 1978-2008 (“Les Ecoles” and “Avrainville” in Paris, and “Mont d'Or” in Lyon) and currently she is involved in the cultural center “La Carène” in Paris.
